Police Close 7th St NW - It's Never a Dull Day Here!

12:10PM - Police have just closed off 7th St between H and K streets. There are bomb sniffing dogs around cars and they evacuated one building. As I was looking over our building balcony the police told us to get away from the windows and go back inside.....anyone else in the area know what's going on?

FPS responded to location for a report of a package delivered by FedEx that seems to be wet around the bottom. Package has been contained and no one has reported any injuries. FPS Capt. arrived on scene and requested DC EOD respond. MPD dispatched. FPS K9 reports a positive hit from partner. X-Ray of package did not reveal contents inside. The building is being evacuated at this time.

Street reopened by 12:30!

I was in Bilbao last year, when my gf and I exited the restaurant we found a police line barring our pass. We thought it was strange, as it wasn't there when we went into the restaurant. So we walk back the other way when a cop angrily tells us to stop! There was a bomb threat (ETA) and we had trespassed, he said.

It was only then that we realized we were on the wrong end of the police line. Nasty scare.
