I Don't Feel Like Dancing
Since I am depressed and wailing like a banshee at night until I pass out from exhaustion, I decided to indulge in buying CDs and discovering new music. There is nothing like a good CD to get you out of a funk for awhile.
First - go here: http://myspace.com/scissorsisters and stream their new CD. It's disco-tastic and "I Don't Feel Like Dancing" is the most peppy song about just wanting to stay your ass at home. I can not WAIT to see them live at Virgin Festival this Saturday along with RHCP, The Who, Gnarls Barkley, The Killers, Kasabian, Brazilian Girls, and Gnarls Barkley!
Second - Van Morrison's Moondance. Where the EFF has this CD been all my life? Seriously, I have listened to it non-stop. So bittersweet really. Songs like "Crazy Love" and "These Dreams of You" hit close to home. But I have decided that if I do someday get married (I seriously don't think I ever will) "Moondance" will be my wedding song. It's just totally me.
Third - Maroon 5- Songs About Jane. I know I'm about 2 yrs too late on buying this. I've heard the CD lots of times but never owned it. Now it's mine and having a CD about a bad break-up is good right now.
Lastly - I know I've already discussed Justin Timberlake in my previous post but I am really digging this CD. "FutureSex/Lovesound" (track #1) gets the CD HOT right from the start. "Love Stoned/I Think She Knows Me" has such a sweet little beat. And "Until The End of Time" surprised me the most, sounding like some straight up Jodeci. Mmmmmm, so groovy. Love it! Grab a lover. Grab a random. Grab anybody and get down on it!

stay strong sista, stay strong. music is better than free wine on wednesday . . . ok, maybe not, but if you mix the two that may be a combination. how's work?
If you love Moondance, I highly recommend Tupelo Honey as your next Van Morrison cd. Plenty of gems on that one, too.
I can listen to Songs About Jane from front to back without skipping a song - a true testament to an album given my musical pickiness. That said, where the crap are those guys? They had one other song that I know of ("Woman" on the Spiderman 2 soundtrack), and a couple live albums but nothing new.
We like "Sweet Thing" from Van Morriso nas a good first dance wedding song. http://www.wedalert.com/songs/realaudiosongs/couples_first_dance/ram/Sweet_Thing.ram
Man the Maroon 5 CD is a GREAT break up CD...I bought it like circa 2002 haha.
Also good - Linkin Park Hybrid Theory..."Place for my Head" and "Pushing Me Away", "One Step Closer" and "With You" and of course "In the End"......all the screaming can make you feel better!
Seriously, I listened to both those CDs through my rough break up...
nube - work blows.
kathryn - i will def check that out.
I-66 - i smell a sophomore slump!
twoste - ok, maybe wailing is a strong term. but i am not ashamed of how i am dealing with this. i deserve to determine what is a reasonable amount of time for me to heal. so right now, no i am not an "iron rod." more like a limp noodle...lol
oh wed alert- WTF? did ou even read the post? i am not the most pro-marriage person. while i do love a good reason to party i am not in the mood to think about weddings. nice try in promoting your site though
